The purchase date is NOT on Virginia titles. The date on the top of the title is the date that the title was printed, not the date of purchase. If you go into a DMV or call they will be able to give you the purchase date. Additionally if it was purchased at a dealership they should have that information as well.
The vehicle title will have the date towards the top. I believe it may also be listed on your registration card.
