If just for the ambiance and historic value alone, it's worth the visit and if you time grab dinner at the very posh but not pretensious, Lemaire restaurant. Although it's characterized as high-end there were many people dressed casually so don't let that intimidate you . Although upscale, we both still felt very comfortable the atmosphere is welcoming. Unless you're with a family or large group I would recommend sitting up at the bar. The bar has great views of the dining room and plenty of bar top seating is available. The cocktails were crafted very well and range in price from $12.00-o $18.00, and obviously if you have top shelf choices it could be more . Our entrees were fabulous and the service was definitely impeccable. Plus you can also spend some time meandering around the hotel lobby area. Don't miss the gorgeous grand staircase where the famous scene to Gone With The Wind was filmed.

We have been here several times and they never disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful and everyone is extremely friendly. The waitstaff is completely on top of everything. They made my daughter feel special for her birthday by having her name on top of the menu. They know what you want before you even have a chance to ask. As amazing as their entrees and appetizers are, their desserts are out of this world. They have the most delicious gluten free options. Even the GF cakes are moist and delicious. You would never know they’re GF.

Had a great lunch (the Lemaire burger and fries) as well as a phenomenal rotating brew, Freak Scene by Bluejacket Brewery in DC. Staff was excellent. Prompt, friendly, and just a pleasure to engage with. Excellent place for a meal or drinks!
