New to the area. Where's the best section in Citrus to hunt deer? Are lotteries used to designate deer permits for the area? Many hogs in Citrus?

You cannot hunt at Tillis Hill

Hunt North, the area's for hunting here are small and regulations for tiny deer aren't worth the trouble. Only 3 or 4 days in December in this management area.

Deer season is over in citrus. Two hunts for 3 days each in December. Deer is lottery only, which is 250 people per hunt for a total of 500. The lower end is probably the best for deer. (From trail 20 south), with south of stage coach road probably the best. However it gets a lot of pressure. There are a lot of hogs in both of those areas as well, and you can hunt them until February 25, and open to everyone for the small game season. And p.s. the area around tillis hill is closed to hunting.

Lots of deer at Tillis Hills - but I'm not sure of the designated areas. I usually ride my horse there. They do allow hunters. Haven't seen hogs there - but I know that the Starkey area has plenty.
