If it is not a new enough model tool they may give you a credit towards a new one.
It's worth the trip. They always help out.
Just drop off a tool that I had for 15 years and had it repair once this time is they say that can't be repair... and the giving me a new one for the repair of the old one... about $525, if I have to buy it will be about 1200
That would be a question for the office or store. I would give them a call. But my guess is probably not.
