Thank you for your answers. Actually, this year the Big Game will be played in Palo Alto. The Cal Marching Band will be leaving for Palo Alto at 6:00 AM. I will be traveling with them. Since there is no Cal-Stanford football game in Berkeley, my question was about if there were any other parking restrictions in that lot on that day. I am coming from far away at a very early hour, so in this situation, public transportation is not an option.
During the football season, Intercollegiate Athletics pre-sells campus parking spaces to season ticket holders. Spaces which are not pre-sold to season ticket holders will be sold to the public first come, first serve on the day of the game. If possible, we highly recommend using public transportation as traffic can be impacted and public parking is extremely limited. For help with trip planning or real-time traffic information visit 511.org(link is external) or call 511. If you would like to purchase a season parking permit, please contact Intercollegiate Athletics at 1-800-GO-BEARS. If all spots have not already been pre-sold (likely), parking will be $40 in Lower Sproul lot, payble to the parking attendant on site via credit card only. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards are all accepted.
There just might be real restricted parking there as it is the big game there and just remember how Berkeley, is when they had there big game when Stanford came to them. Just have money for parking or try to look for free parking in a residential area but it might be off on where you have to go in that early morning to meet up with the band.
