I had read on one of the forums that Timothy hay *pellets* is bad for rabbits and using the actual hay is much better for the way their teeth wear down. Is there any truth to this please?

The pellets are just extra nutrition for your bunnies you can choose to not give them but consult with ur vet the I personally give my large bun about 1/4 a cup a day at most of pellets but you need unlimited hay for digestion and wearing down the teeth so pellets aren’t necessarily bad but they won’t wear down the teeth and hay is absolutely necessary

All rabbits should have an unlimited supply of grass hay (Timothy is good, so is Orchard -- but alfalfa should only be given to rabbits under 6 months of age). Pellet foods are used only to supplement the grass hay and should be limited to 1/4 cup per day in adult rabbits.
