When I use a kanna it sometimes clogges. Am I not setting the chip breaker right

Hi, you need to take the chipbreaker and mainblade and hold them together and look through the back end. You should not see any light coming thru and the blades should not rock against each other. They should touch completely where they meet. The other reason would be that the month of the dai needs to be opened up a little bit if the blades are actually not the problem. Remember that some people have three different planes to take different kinds of shavings... Going from rough to finish... The rough will have a big mouth and the finish plane will let only the finest shavings through so that tear out is even more reduced.
