We got married here back in the mid-2000s. It was AMAZING. Around 100 guests. Ceremony was out front overlooking the bay - breathtaking - then reception was in the back, plus everything inside! At the time, the exhibit was Science of the Circus, so in addition to all the neat interactive permanent exhibits, our guests (kids and adults) got to walk the tightrope and fly on a trapeze. It was after-hours, but attending staff was included in the very reasonable price. So much fun! The event coordination folks were incredibly nice and great to work with, and the price was fantastic. It’s been a while, so not sure if this is still an option, but if so, we highly recommended this spot for a fun, memorable wedding.

A great place for kids to experiment and enjoy discovering some interesting scientific phenomena. There is a lot to do and our little one got so engaged that she didn't want to go home at the end of the day. They have a place for dining outside that overlooks the whole Bay area but it the wind was blowing hard up there. The 3D documentary was fun to watch for all ages. Staff are courteous and helpful. I definitely recommend this place. There were plenty of parking spaces, but not for free.

Very disappointed. My Niece enjoyed it but there was nothing to really do. Paid $20 to make a paper airplane. No animals, and the only show you had to pay extra for. I remember this place being so much better when I was a kid.

This is different from most museums for kids, as nearly everything requires kids direct involvement. My kids built at least half a dozen things to test on various machines and had a total blast here. A truly unique way to teach kids science.

Yes it does :) free entry for 4 people
Yes, there is air conditioning there. It is cooler than outside.
Might be a little too soon to take a 1yr old but I do take a 19 month old and a 4 year old and they both love it
Yes
Actually you can. It's free for up to 4 people a visit, to try and make museums and education accessible to everyone. Just show your EBT and photo id
I love taking my toddler to the plaza at the Lawrence Hall of Science so she can run around and play on the whale and DNA structure.
In front of the museum is a cyclotron which created the first man made element.
That's a good Amount of time to see everything there.
Its more for children. But adults have a ton of fun here also.
Generally, it is $16 for adults, $12 for children 3–17 and Seniors 65+, and free for members, children under 2, and UC Berkeley Students and Staff. Check out their website for information on admittion: https://www.lawrencehallofscience.org/visit/hours_cost_location
