Barbara, I'm so sorry to hear about your treatment. I believe you're talking about another vet. Perhaps Arlington Animal Hospital (also Van Buren st). They're expensive & awful! I've been going to Van Buren Animal Hospital for about 5 yrs, and their office visit is only $20. They have the cheapest rates in town. And, I know the vet & his office lady, Shirley would never say that to anyone.
The initial visit is $35. Now, if something is wrong with your pet and you want him to treat your pet, I don't know. My son paid the bill and neither one of us was happy, $35 to look at my pet then $175 for 2 pills. I told him my pet didn't have his shots yet because I'm on a fixed income and he told me I shouldn't have pets if you can't take care of them. He was so rude I left his office in tears. Wouldn't recommend this veterinarian to anyone.
