I think it says in the website that it has to be printed but they do have a list tbry check. I would hope if you drive all the way out there and didn't print it out they wouldn't turn you away but who knows!
I had mine printed so they can sign it and you can place it on your dash. They did have a list with everyone that has a permit though.
