Where is the best place to park?

Unmetered parking the SF golden gate parking. It does get packed but you should still find a spot. It'll just be a little walk

There is an underground car park at the academy of science. I believe it is expensive. Theres also unmetered street parking either side of the road on the Sunset side of Golden Gate Park the before you take the turn to drive up the Academy of science. It will be a 5-20 min walk from there depending where you get parking.

I would try to take public transportation. But there is an underground parking lot. $$$$
