Yep, most places in SF will take a picture,depending upon your airline though, they may not.
Yes, we used a picture on our phone. You do also need a photo ID (e g. drivers license) along with the vaccination card/photo just to prove it's really yours.
Same here my wife showed her picture she was saying something about the young guy at the door.
