From what I understand you can only get married once through the civil and that is on a national data base, I may be wrong. Now if he was married through any church it doesn't matter because that is religious and not legal and binding. For example if you get married thru the church and not the civil then in the eyes of the court you are not legally married. It is easy to get an annulment. You'll see that you'll find someone better.
