Don't think so! You can check by going to the SPCA website and click on link Adoption then Dog. Most of them will be a wonderful group of mix breeds. If you really want a pure Rhodesian Ridgeback to adopt try some of the rescue groups around Bay Area, like the Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue of Northern California. They rescue dogs of the breed and try to find new owners. Word of Advice from whom used to own 3 dogs of SPORT breeds like the Rhodesian : Make sure your life style and schedule will allow you to spend enough time exercising he/she on a daily basis otherwise they can get bored and create bad behavior!
They receive many different breeds at the shelter, most often mixed. If you're looking for something specific, I would find a rescue that deals primarily with that.
