In November they attempted to be persuasively friendly, but we made it clear we were not going to attend an owner's update. Nevertheless they called the unit every day. We quit answering the phone.
I was just there in December and also said "No, thank you."
Just say no is my motto!
In my experience, they have not been very polite towards those who say no, but if you feel that you don't want to sit and listen to them, that is your right.
Complain to corporate for any overbearing programs...and don't ever go to midtown Manhattan...the boiler room was a disgrace...
My wife and I were there a week ago and I didn't understand what I was even signing up for, the concierge was so vague. They told me all about these wonderful things they were giving or including, and that it was a breakfast.. I had to pay $20 up front for it, even thou I got it back at the end of the day. I seriously was oblivious to what I was signing up for, but they took five or six hours out of our honeymoon! By the time it was done my wife and I we're arguing and had a terrible rest of the night because of it!! I give her the full ability to make her own grown-up decisions, but I wasn't willing to sign up for a 10 year contract at nearly $300 a month for the cheapest program they offered for their lowest level owner. My wife was willing to spend 250, and I told her we needed to hold off, but the lady soon change the sales pitch to me giving my wife the right to make her own decisions. That did not go over well as I mentioned above! This particular facility was VERY dated but clean
