I think taking pictures before or after a performance is ok, but during it is not. This protects the artistic integrity of the performance and respects copyright.

I took a photo and didn't realize I had the flash on, I got a couple of dirty looks.

The rule is: no recording devices are allowed in the Concert Hall at any time.
Well i brought my phone and took pictures without the flash. You have to be real quiet. The sound in the room was able to amplify someone sneezing up on top as if they were sitting next to me. Also I did not see anyone panning the room with their phone. Stealth would be the word.
Dont make a big deal and they wont say anything place is huge makes for great shots
