Mabel - Do you want to know how many beds are in the entire hospital or in a certain area?
They have many beds, from ICU/CCU & surgical (2ndflr), Neonatal (3rdflr), Coronary unit (4thflr), Acute care (5thflr). In the emergency department they have many rooms/beds also. I found that it's just an easier environment to navigate as patient family then it is at VMC. Don't get me wrong... VMC does great work also but the nurses are rude, standoffish, hard to get any information out of; whereas O'Connor they give it their all not just the patient but the family as well. A more open and friendly approach to medicine. If your family is going to be in hospital long term I would recommend O'Connor over VMC. Though the Dr's at both really know their stuff and take care of business... Top of the line care as far as I'm concerned. And my wife has been in both the last two months
