Westside will help you every step of the way. Many beautiful dogs to choose from. Give them a call.

If you adopt a young German Shepherd or any puppy for that matter, make sure you supervise interactions as puppies can get very mouthy. Also once they start teething, they will chew everything. They will grow out of it and with training, won't chew your furniture (hopefully) but keep that in mind if you choose to adopt a younger Shepherd. Instead of age, I suggest adopting based on temperament. There are a couple socialized older shepherds at Westside right now who have been with kids and if I were you, I would adopt these dogs as they have already been inside a home, know how to interact with people and young children, and won't be mouthy.

We adopted a 6 month old German Shepherd from Northern California German Shepherd rescue. He was an extremely well-adjusted puppy. Actually she's not a puppy she's probably a year-and-a-half give or take a few months. That picture was taken the day that the German Shepherd was adopted. The dog's name is diderot. The little boy is 4 years old and my cousin. He was able to walk diderot around the yard on her leash without a problem. Diderot is a little shy, but in the past year has made tremendous advances in getting past her shyness. If you rely on Westside German Shepherd res
