It's amazing how caring and careful they are with their adoption process. They make sure they pair you with the dog that will fit perfectly with your family and what you're looking for. We already have a dog and wanted to bring her a sister or a brother to play with. And after meeting and greeting a few we adopted this beauty. He's amazing!

I love Westside! I adopted my beloved long haired German Shepherd from them. When my dog passed away, I started volunteering with Westside. I can't believe the loving passion and caring everyone in this org has for each dog that is rescued. Westside takes on many ill, injured or pregnant dogs that nobody else will take and nurses them back to health so they can be adopted and have healthy happy lives. This can include serious and expensive vet care, including complicated surgeries and rehab. Everyone involved with Westside gives their all for the dogs. Please consider adopting from Westside, volunteering and donating to help the dogs when you can. Thank you!

Westside German shepherd rescue is AMAZING. My husband and I rescued "Titus" aka Neptune von netphen a year and a half ago. BEST decision we have made. Titus is an amazing dig and companion. Although after a few months he did become very protective over my husband. We are working on that daily. We have since moved to Montana where he had acres to run and play and enjoy the snow and colder weather!!!

We adopted our Emma almost 7 years ago as an out of state adoption (to WA). Robin, Don Yates and staff made this process so stress free that I can't imagine where else to go once Emma crosses the Rainbow Bridge. What a bunch of loving people that dedicate their lives to find loving homes for such a noble breed of dog. We highly recommend WSGSR 4 those looking to change a life.

I have agesm Shepard I can’t care for anymore could you take him and find him a loving home
This is a great rescue with so many lovable GSD's that need a home. You'll fill out an application to adopt, then they'll bring out dogs for you to meet. They know their dogs, so they'll choose dogs best suited to your lifestyle and preferences. (You can also check out available dogs on their website and let them know if you're interested in a particular dog. Website is updated every week or two, so not all posted are still available, and there are always new babies!) They'll give you all the information you need, plus a free pass for a training class. I think the normal adoption fee is $435 but could vary for puppies vs older dogs, etc. Great people doing great work here. They really deserve the support and want to help their dogs find the best homes!
They are not permanently closed. I am a volunteer there

Can your friend crate train her dog when she is not home? Small intervals at a time in the crate for the puppy to get comfortable with it. As far as being hungry all the time., not sure how often she is feeding her, but 4x a day ought to sustain the pup and never leave anything on the counters. Lots of toys may help as well
Please go to their website to see available dogs. http://www.sheprescue.org/

It is possible but to be sure go take a tour of the kennel area and when you guys find the dog you are interested in adopting write down the animal ID number, take a picture or a video of him/her if you can, give this information to a staff member, fill out the paperwork, and pay the adoption fee. Afterword they will let you know when you can take your baby home with you. I sincerely hope that you guys find the baby of your dreams very soon. I am very sorry about your loss. Good luck to you.

No, but they are only there on specific days of the week. Call them and find out what they are. (Leave a message if you call when they're not there). I think Wednesday is one of the days they are there...and maybe Saturday (not sure). They are a great organization....do great work!
