I moved to Temecula from IL. I need to replace our drivers licenses as well as the plates from my car. I phoned and was told that the DMV department would be open on 08/17. What do I need to do? I am 70 and cannot be on a line under hot sun.

Schedule an appointment, this is the easiest way to avoid a long wait. They do have chairs and shade setup for visitors, and make sure you approach the small desk in front of the entrance when you arrive to let them know you have an appointment.

I had to get my driver's license renewed as well as get a new car registered I was there for 4 1/2 hours. They do have a seperate line for appts and disabilities. Plus they have tents with chairs. I was there at 8 am and the line was already wrapped around the building. They only let so many people in so go as early as you possibly can.
