Just bought a car for my son, however he is out of town for a couple of weeks. Can I get the title and registration in his name without him being present at the DMV office?

He has to sign the Title or give you power of Attorney and then you dont have to be on the vehicle at all. Unless he wants you to be.

You can gift the vehicle to him by using a form ST-133. You have to submit it to the assessor or the DMV with the vehicle title to be transferred. Https://idaho.gov/pubs/rulesdoc_6oJz2XDZoNs6P.pdf
