Can anyone bring the vehicle/motorcycle down for a vin inspection to tag an out of state vehicle? Or does it have to be the owner? Asking for a friend who works out of state

Your friend that works out of state should just wait till they're in town and make an appointment to have the Sheriff's Office do a VIN inspection cost like 7 bucks or three bucks it's pretty cheap and the sheriff's office will come to you

Any member of law enforcement can do a VIN inspection. They will ask for proof of ownership documents that you the vehicle.
