no, but there are animal shows and presentations in which a animal is on display and you can usually touch it and learn about it. Last time I went there was a presentation on bats and the white nose syndrome. Also, in the 3 o'clock range there was a huge python that you could pet and learn about.
The Science Center is best described as a zoo in the woods. We are not a petting zoo but feature animal ambassadors that are native to New Hampshire in natural enclosures along a 3/4 mile trail through the woods and meadows. The animals are here because they cannot live in the wild - orphaned, injured, habituated to people, or born in captivity. We feature additional Up Close to Animals presentations every day during July and August (referring to the python comment below) that feature animals in a naturalist led presentation.
