A wonderful mix of zoo and science museum. Lots of kid friendly exhibits for both older kids and toddlers. Plan to spend about half your day if your child will want to linger at each animal. Save time for the playground towards the back!

We came here with our three kids who are 2, 3, and 5. The trail was relaxing and easy, even for little toddler legs and two adults who don't work out consistently. The animals all looked healthy and well taken care of. Their habitats were very impressive. Glad we came and will go again in the future.

Visited with my significant other on May 9th. Was not busy at all! Has so many interactive exhibits to learn from. Though we are both adults, we enjoyed playing and reading all the information along the trail. Love the hands on learning, it's the perfect place for children to learn new things about animals and nature while having tons of fun (and seeing animals!). The animals looked happy, and the enclosures were very natural and large for them to roam around. Will definitely return in the future!

Amazing place! This place had it all! Fun trails though the forest, wild animals up close, educational. We got here at opening and had the trail almost completely to ourselves. The animals in their care all came from the wild either injured or orphaned. So many fun facts were learned! There were educational games at many exhibits. There were also the occasional tunnel, zip line or slide at an exhibit as well as a huge playground. We saw some animals up close and others were sleeping! I could see this as a great place to go to often if we lived local, as I’m sure you’d have a different special experience each visit. It’s never the same visit at a place with animals like this, you may have a special encounter with one animal at one visit and a different one on the next.

You can. They have a very large picnic area as well!
Not quite sure, i think it has something to do with the new exhibits going in

Existing snswers are correct. Aldo i think a one yesr mrmbership is cost effective. Around $25 as I remember.
no, but there are animal shows and presentations in which a animal is on display and you can usually touch it and learn about it. Last time I went there was a presentation on bats and the white nose syndrome. Also, in the 3 o'clock range there was a huge python that you could pet and learn about.
Help it to get on its feet and see if a mother comes back avoid contact with the animal or the mom might reject it as beeing hers.
