It is one of the best places for an easy yet challenging hike with great views. Lots of fun to be had at Stony Brook!:)

Very family friendly. Areas for sports, swimming depending on the season. Nature trails are a given. Lots of trailers and RVs in the camping sites; you decide whether that's a plus or a minus. Adjacent State lands offer primative trails and hunting though I haven't found a good place to fish yet. Movie theater and plenty of restaurants in nearby Dansville. A day trip might be Corning Museum of Glass. "Fun" will be self directed; a few organised events might be found on the website.
