How old should kittens get nuetuerd?

My vet told me my kitten had to be about 4 months old or at least 4 pounds to be safest. Make the kitten a house cat and put into a FL room or garage when going away from the house.

Kittens are ok to be neutered when they weigh around 2.5 pounds, this means approximately 2-3 months old.
