I live right next to a dmv in hollywood. If you ever need someone to wait in line for you it would be a pleasure and no hardship at all. I can wait inline if need be, because ANYTHING...beats staying home doing nothing.
Unless there is something very wrong you should try to renew it online - almost everyone can renew online now. Also, appointments were supposed to have gone online this past Saturday, so do not wait in line if you do not want to.
Go get in line show up early like 6am and plan on a 2 to 3 hour adventure. The staff there are super helpful and super nice.
