The bows provided are long bows. They do train Jr. Olympic level youngsters who shoot with compound bows, so I suspect that if you bring your own bow they would be happy to train you on it.
Nico provides recurve in the shop, not long bows and there is JOAD, who start off students on recurve, as well. The recurve bow was what was used in the last Olympic Games.
