Came out to shoot my G17 and my MP5 22. I guess I came late (around 6) so the rifle range had been closed and I was told I wasn’t able to shoot my MP5 22 Rimfire indoors. So for those wondering if you’re able to shoot a 22 rimfire rifle indoors at this range? You are NOT. He said because it was a rifle. At other indoor ranges I’ve been to, 22 rimfire is not a problem. Even if its a rifle. So I was a little disappointed. You have to wait 2 seconds between shooting rounds here, just letting those know. It’s 25 to shoot here, at the ranges I’ve been to in the valley it’s usually 20 but no biggy. It was still a nice time, me and my buddy had fun. I don’t know if I would come back though.

Staff made me had a less than enjoyable experience. IDK what the deal the the no FMJ rule is, there might be a good reason, but I didn't appreciate the guy interrupting my shooting to check my ammo again, and threaten to kick me out when I told him it was already checked. Additionally, I was told incorrect information about California law, and told they allow cops to steal people's property based on this misinformation.

I enjoyed myself here and plan to go back soon. The staff was super friendly, as were the other patrons. There are lanes on the inside and outside. They provide you with eye and ear protection if you don’t come with your own. It was pretty loud for me, so, while I had my own muffs, I opted to pay a dollar for some foam ear plugs as an added layer of protection. Ammo for a 9mm was $40/box… the box was a box of 50. There was a $25 charge per person (whether on individual lanes or the same lane); my friend and I chose to be on the same lane. Overall, I liked it here and would absolutely go again.

I visited this range a week ago and I brought a friend with zero shooting experience and his brand new rifle. We'll get back to that. The facilities are certainly sufficient. You won't encounter any specific shine or a feeling of "deluxe" here, but it is after all a shooting range that is also quite busy. They have an indoor range for handgun shooting (no Magnum ammo can be used there with the only exception being .22 caliber) that has automated target retrieval systems in place. They also have an outdoor pistol & rifle range. The pistol area outdoors has 12, 25 and 50 yard target distances while the rifle range has benches and the distance is set at 100 yards. The outdoor area operates on 15 minute shooting intervals followed by brief cease fire periods so the shooters can go inspect and replace targets as needed. In my experience the staff was great! They were respectful but strict about safety rules (thanks for that, I wouldn't really feel safe otherwise) and they were also very helpful and cooperative. As I mentioned in the beginning my friend was a new shooter and had a brand new rifle that needed to be broken in properly, but neither him nor I knew much about how exactly to perform the process. One of the range officers took the time to guide us through it and help us where needed. I honestly did not expect such great service! One thing worth mentioning is that if you get scolded by a range officer it isn't because they get off on that. During our visit there were a couple of patrons who heard the "safety speech" but that was only after they acted in an unsafe manner that was specifically listed as unacceptable in the rules of the facility. If you heard the speech don't be sore about it - you probably did something to deserve it. A couple of recommendations: 1. Wear your ear protection as soon as your leave your car. It is quite loud, even in the parking lot. 2. Take their safety test if you want to get a 40% discount off your lane fee. UPDATE: As of 2017 you CAN'T shoot .223 or 5.56 FMJ ammo at this range. Soft Point or Lead ammo are okay. I believe it has something to do with causing excessive damage to their back wall. Best call in advance if you have high powered, high velocity FMJ ammo. Shotguns okay with slugs only. Bottom line - I'll definitely be back there. It is conveniently placed close to where I live and I get to shoot outdoors, which is a definitely plus in my book.

I ususally went there outside of their busy hours, but I believe they are first come first serve.
Even though there are ranges that rent firearms from what I understand you would have to have a firearm or be with someone that have a firearm and I’ve been there once and from what I can remember they don’t rent firearms.
Yes but 22's on the 50 yard lanes or the 50 foot indoor range
15 if you take the written safety test otherwise it's $20 to enter with one target
The answer as of 9/9/2020 is no and no.
Pretty sure they do
You need some form of photo ID (driver's license, passport, military ID, etc...). You can shoot alone, but you must bring your own firearm.
They have all the classes and courses available jus call to schedule
I don't believe they do. They suggested Reed's in Santa Clara, which has lessons for $200, 2 evenings, 6:30-9pm.
Yes. You need your own firearm and you should have your own ammunition. Go on the website for the details. It is very clear and helpful.
I believe both indoor & outdoor are open now.
Exact details Call Direct I don't work there
Call them !
Yes
Yes
Yes just tell them at the front
Call them and ask if they will take it or call your local gun store and ask
They do not rent firearms. They sell some ammo though
No FMJ bullets, only soft points and hollow points
You need some form of photo ID (driver's license, passport, military ID, etc...) and your own firearm. They have eye and ear protection for rent and they sell ammo, but it's better to bring your own.
They do not rent any firearms, you have to bring your own.
15 all day in and out. You buy can ammo and shoot all the ranges they have open. Yes you need your own gun. Some rent but you need to go with a friend or they won't rent. My favorite is Reed's in Santa Clara next to the 49er stadium.
Thanks for all the answers. Just to explain afterwards. We did go to Jackson fire arms in SA. We were required to take a gun safety lesson before we could shoot there. Dont know if it is mandatory in the US or anything but this was actually very good and helpful. I had no experience with pistols and feel a lot more comfortable knowing how to handle a pistol. Thx everyone
If I remember correctly, you can only shoot slugs.
Yup, just have to pick it up during your next range trip
Firearm(s), a shooting buddy to accompany you, ear and eye pro. CA ID. I believe its $20 w/o RSC
I dont believe they allow the shooting of any airsoft (or any non firearm) weapons at the range. Anyone shooting needs to either be certified or clear their exam prior to being allowed on the range.
^ The "I guess guide" ... The answer is definitely YES. You're even allowed to shoot .50 as long as its powder... Happy shooting and keep yer powder dry!
The Loss Prevention Group do run some of their exposed firearm permit class there, but the range itself does not provide any B.S.I.S. class as far as I know.
Yes for shotgun
You need a valid photo ID like a driver's license, a passport may also work. They also DO NOT rent firearms, you will need to bring your own.
Honestly it's best to call them. I believe Soft Point was okay last year, not sure if things have changed. I know for sure that FMJ or steel core are not allowed.
They have a 100 yard range.
Its $25 for the day. You can leave and come back for this fee. If you take their fire arms safety test it drops to $15. They do not rent any fire arms. They let you rent ear and eye protection. You can buy ammo and targets. There are restrictions on what ammo can be used. Go to their website for details.
Soft nose only. No FMJs
"No one under 12 years old may shoot (except rifles in the junior club). Over 12 years old must have a signed consent from parent or guardian, stating that the range is not responsible for any accidents they may have while shooting. 12 through 15 year olds may only shoot 22 rifles, and only while under direct adult supervision." This is what it says from their website.
