Train from union station to santa ana and then bus or Lyft from there definitely. Traffic can get bad from LA to Santa Ana and that'll make your trip with ride sharing more expensive to boot.

That's definitely a far ride. You could take the train from Union Station to Santa Ana and then Uber, that'd be much cheaper but would take longer.
