This may not be the best beach for children for swimming there are no lifeguards at the beach and the Beachside drops and very quickly to the water the water could be very heavy and slam you into the sand I'd prefer a better Beach like a Zuma this is a beach where the water is very clear there's not much Riptide there's lifeguards showers and more Zuma Beach is perfect it's a shallow Beach they gradually goes in to the ocean Eco walk out 50 ft and be at your waist the water is very clear and the waters are more calm and you can catch good waves for surfing swimming and much more there's also showers at this locations and restaurants
No tide pools, but occasionally whale and dolphin Leo Carrillo has tide pools south of Malibu
No tide pools here.. just very rocky and lots of tar balls
