I ran into 4 rattlesnakes in the last 2 years (in 4 different occasions -last one was on July 4th 2020). All encounters were between 2 pm and 6pm. 2 big ones, 1 medium, 1 small. All of them were crossing the cement walkway, all of them moved slow. Also all of them were dark skin, hard to spot in they were in the bushes. Beware of rattlesnakes when hiking.
Yes! I have seen them and heard them twice.
I personally have never seen any rattlesnakes while hiking at Veterans Park, but I could almost guarantee that rattlesnakes could be found.
