Hi I have a great dane I recently got her a different dog food because the store was out of her food and she's been diarrhea and troughing up but its slimy and stringy what should I do.

Hello Melissa. I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your question. Sudden diet changes can result in dietary upset but "slimy and stringy" are not adjectives that we normally hear. If you are still experiencing a problem with your dog, please have her seen by your daytime veterinarian. If they cannot see your pet in a reasonable time you may bring her here for an exam. The fee is $90 to be seen. Treatments/diagnostics would be in addition to the exam fee. There may be a wait of an hour or more depending upon when you arrive and what cases are ahead of yours'.

Try boiled chicken and rice...that usually work to settle my dog's stomachs. If that does not work definitely take her to the vet.
