Villareal Roofing Company delivers a 5 STAR roofing experience to protect our home at a fair price. My wife and I talked to three different roofing companies. Two roofers only talked price. Gilbert Jr was the only roofer who came and listened to what we wanted, a complete old roof tear-off, damaged wood replaced and quality shingles installed. He inspected the roof and presented material options with a roof ridge vent to keep the attic cooler. Turns out Gilbert Jr has been working on roofs with his Father Gilbert Sr since he was a child; Gilbert knows roofing! We studied roofing shingle types, materials, underlayment, manufacturing companies, warranties and installation companies. We selected Villareal Roofing and the GAF Roofing System with a good selection of materials and colors and a 50 year/lifetime warranty. We won’t be around another 50 years, maybe our roof could be. We learned Villareal roofing is a GAF Certified company; GAF only selects the BEST companies for this level of certification. Villareal roofing is a Team of people working together to turn our roof into a priority project. Gilbert Jr provided a detailed estimate with photos, drawings and the roofs square footage. We selected the materials, agreed on price and signed a contract. Villareal roofing obtained the city permits and coordinated city inspections and final approvals. Communication with Villareal staff was easy and provided quick responses. Jose, Art, and Joleen Thanks for all your hard work! The Villareal installers are well trained professionals delivering high quality craftsmanship. Each day they arrived at 7 AM daily and at the end of the day they cleaned up around the house, put their tools away. Gilbert Jr inspected the workmanship at each step of the project. Our new GAF roof looks AMAZING! Gilbert Jr is a US Army veteran served in Afghanistan and Gilbert Sr is also a Veteran. My wife and I are extremely pleased Villareal Roofing installed our new roof. As Retired US Army, I recognize the integrity, honesty, and professionalism of Gilbert Jr and Gilbert Sr. We HIGHLY recommend Villareal roofing to install your new roof!

We had a weird leak on our office roof and they came out to assess it, then had their guys fixing it. Professional, quick and nice guys. Responsive! Because we'd been ghosted by several other roofing companies so it's great to find a professional company. Def worth hiring if you need someone for your roof!

Very bad experience with this company. My home warranty had chosen them to repair my roof leaks. I called them to schedule an appointment. When the appointment date came no one ever showed up or called me telling me that they were not going to show up. I had to call them and ask why no one showed up. After missing a full day of work, they told me that they couldn't make it because there was a possible chance of rain. They then told me that they could come on a saturday if there was a break in the weather. It did not rain at all that day and I stayed home waiting for their call but again no one called me to inform me that they were not going to show up. After a week, I called them and asked why they had not shown up. The girl on the phone told me that she wasn't aware that they never showed up to my house. She then scheduled someone to come the following day at 11 am. They were suppose to show up at 11 and they did not show up until 1 pm. When the guy came I showed him where the roof leaks were located. He immediately informed me that I have to pay him 60 dollars for showing up. He went on the roof and started taking pictures. He then informed me that we had cracked tiles. He soon left and told me he was going to give his report to the home warranty company. After a short while, home warranty called me saying that they were not going to cover the cost of the repair due to the report that was given to them. The home warranty company said that the Villareal reported that the tile was caused by a falling branch or due to wind. (There are no trees near my home. They also mentioned that the report stated that there were 15 tiles that were broken and missing. There were no broken tiles nor were there any missing. He showed me all the pictures he took and they were all cracked and there were only 5 tiles that he showed me that were cracked. The home warranty company declined the claim due to false reports from the roofer. Villareal made a false report so that they could get more money from the warranty company but in reality their greed caused me not to get my roof fixed by my home warranty company. Also, I spent 60 dollars for I guy to tell me that we had cracked tiles when I was already aware of. I gave this company three chances to give me good business. If I were you I wouldn't give them a chance at all. I do not recomend this company. Stay away.

Questions & Answers

How Can I Find the Exact Location of a Leak?

When dealing with leaks it is important to keep in mind that water wants to find the path of least resistance to travel, which means that your leak could present itself in parts of your house that aren't close to the actual leak. One solution is to go into your attic or crawl space with a flashlight the next time it rains and try to trace the leak. Visible signs, such as pooling water or damaged drywall/building materials should be present. However, this isn't always effective due to walls or other physical obstructions blocking your view. The most accurate way to track the leak is to have a professional come out and access the leak.

What Causes a Roof to Wear Out?

Villareal Roofing Co. Inc. | Dec 1, 2021

Most damage that a roof will take on is the direct force of nature. Severe weather, including typhoons, haboobs, hailstorms, snowstorms, and tornados contribute to the degradation of a roof. Algae and mildew, as well as sunlight, can also be a source of roof damage.

Can my roof be repaired or does it need to be replaced?

One of the big questions to ask is the age of the roof. If a roof is older than 15 years it may be time to contact a local contractor to inspect your roof and give their recommendation on how to proceed. Generally speaking cracked, broken and curled shingles can be replaced individually and are often the cause of issues like leaks. Roofs with widespread issues are more likely to need replacing, as the whole roof system may be compromised.

Will a new roof lower my energy bills?

If your roof is old and underperforming, roof replacement can help lower energy bills. Ideally, an attic should remain close to the outside temperature, but overheating in this space during the summer is a sign of inadequate ventilation. This inadequate ventilation can cause an HVAC system to work much harder than necessary. A new roof helps ensure that your HVAC system can work properly and keep stress off the system causing more power to be consumed.

Should I replace the shingles or the entire roofing system?

Villareal Roofing Co. Inc. | Dec 1, 2021
Villareal Roofing Co. Inc. | Dec 1, 2021

Your roofing system is comprised of several layers, all performing a different function. Generally speaking, replacing the entire system is the best route for improving the roof’s performance. The different layers of a roof can include leak barrier protection, sythetic roof deck protection, starter strip shingles, lifetime shingles, and ventilation.

Can I replace my roof myself?

In short no. There are projects which can be completed with a DIY mentality, however, due to the dangers of working on ones' roof, completing a roof replacement yourself isn't something that should be attempted. Not only do thousands of Americans die annually from falling from roofs, but you could be violating your roof's current warranty which could wind up costing you down the line.
