Trash is usually taken to either the Douglas County landfill or the Sarpy County Transfer Station, depending on location of the route. The previous answer is correct that the Sarpy County Landfill is closed, but it has been converted to a transfer station. Trash taken to the Sarpy County Transfer Station is later trucked to a landfill in Butler County.
They dump in Butler County, east of David City. The Sarpy County landfill is closed.
It depends on the county. Each county has they're own landfill. Trash is supposed to stay and be dumped in that county landfill.
