Great buying experience. Go in and speak with them.
As stated above, CarMax offers one of the best car buying experiences possible. They are not pushy, very helpful and don't make more money if they jack the price up (they get paid the same for every car and the price is clearly printed on the car with a strict "no haggle" policy). However, their cars and trucks are not "cheap" by most standards. They are priced well for what is being offered, but none of their inventory falls into the category that most people would consider cheap. The last time I was at CarMax (maybe a month ago) I think the least expensive vehicle was just over $10k. I've seen other car lots with much lower pricing advertised. Bear in mind, obviously, that you get what you pay for! A $5,000 dollar truck is going to be more reliable and comfortable than a $500 truck (if you can find one of those running) and a $15,000 truck will be even more reliable and comfortable than that. CarMax, as I understand, does not adjust their stated pricing for any reason.
Prices are based on blue book value. No negotiations on price. You can check their website for up to date inventory. My credit wasn't the greatest but still qualified for vehicles. The sales persons make the same commission no matter the vehicle, making the process quick and easy.
