I do know is that Pattison's has been open since before my time. Pattison's has always been open as far as I know. I grew up in the early 80s; It was old then. BTW there is no 'R' in Pattisons, I know because I grew up across the highway by the par 3 golf course and I could read their sign clearly, at the bottom of the Division Street Hill. It still smells like microwave popcorn and feet. I know because my 6th grader loves the place, but I never taught her how to skate. Am I terrible father? Not really, because a small oversight is outshadowed by a lifetime of positive influence. We are both learning how to skate; whether we like it, or not.
