Are tips mandatory? I was told that tips get taken off your bill automatically without you saying. Is this true?

like most restaurants there's mandatory tipping only for large parties otherwise you would be tipping separately the 15 or 20%. it would normally say something like parties of 8 or more gratuity is included. Otherwise most servers get left with no tip or very little tip compared with the bill total

That's probably for large parties. I just ate there and they didn't do that.

Probably if your party is above a certain size. That's pretty standard for restaurants. My wife and I were there the other night and they did not do this.
