Yes the prison is still there. For historical reasons I would say take the tour but for the amount of money that you pay there should be a tour guide not a audio tour guide that you listen through on their app that you have to download to your phone and listen with ear plugs. A tour guide would make the tour so much better if you take the tour you will agree!
