It's open territory. It's always possible to see snakes. Keep an open eye and ear.
If you go on the trail to the hills there are rattle snakes. As any snake they'll try to stay away from humans but a pair of eyes wide open are better

There are snakes exhibited in the zoo. I do not know whether the park areas get them. I would think it rare.
