How much do you get from aluminum cans
Aluminum
They pay for metals and also for newspaper. Prices vary and change regularly. Last time I saw, aluminum was 50 cents a pound, I think. I would bring a carload of newspapers and get around $10 usually.
Much to my dismay bottles, glass, and plastics are hard to recycle in Spokane. The market for us recyclers is very limited and the cost of shipping is more than the product is worth. Action does buy the metals and newspaper and we accept cardboard. The only outlet I know for the other recyclables is the waste to energy plant and the transfer stations. There is a recycling area before you get to the scales so there is no charge to the public
I think they only pay for aluminum and other metal s like copper and iron/steel/tin, etc But I think they also accept plastics at no charge as well.
