I cannot disingage the steering wheel lock , tried everything, so I had to have it towed. AAA guy couldn’t even do it . Is there another way to do this?

You need to firmly turn the wheel to the left or to the right with the key in the ignition and find the loose spot

What John said. If you park on a slanted road this will happen when the car settles into place. It happens at least once a month to me.
