So i know water and small snacks are allowed in. Also that there are picnic tables in parking lot. So my question is are we allowed to enter park then exit to have lunch then reenter?

I think you get your hand stamped. I believe it's a day admission with in and out privileges. Keep your ticket and receipt on you, that could help. But it's such a family friendly park, you shouldn't have much problems or issues - I hope you will enjoy! :)
