My recommendation is to call and speak with ticket services as they are currently requiring reservations and if they book up, you're out of luck for the day. They are also open limited hours/days with a limited number of guests in the museum per cue time. They also have a special exhibition going on featuring World War 2 animation which is pretty cool, but a separate ticket from the museum experience, also requiring a reservation. As someone else said... They are flexible and will work with you to accommodate your needs.
We used the city pass too but had no wait. The staff is of the usual Disney caliber and handles everything well.
Yes, I used city pass and the only down side is. But you are not priority, so if the museum has bought on site ticket holders, and the museum is full u will have to wait for the on-site ticket buyers to go in first even if they got there 5 minutes later.... don't get me wrong the wait wasn't over 5 minutes when I went over, but it does demeanor your spirit,ll
