It depends if you're going to San Diego Convention Center maybe about 5-6 minutes if you're going to downtown 5th Avenue I'd say about 10 minutes.
Broadway to Coronado takes 20 minutes once it leaves the dock. Same for the return. Allow 10 minutes for Boarding time before the scheduled departure.
I work for the company. Theres actually 2 Ferries that take you to Coronado. There's 1 that crosses from behind the Convention Center that take about 5 minutes to Coronado. The other Ferry crosses from Embarcadero to Coronado and that one takes about 30 minutes.
