I normally bring my household hazardous waste to the local transfer station, but I am anxious to go to the transfer station now. What should I do with it?

Please store all hazardous waste, including batteries, in a safe place in your home until there you feel safe going to the transfer station. It is very important that household hazardous waste NOT be disposed of as regular waste in your bin.

I enjoy the Casella Pine Tree waste disposal site but not as much as going to the former Brunswick Landfill and seeing Butch. He was not only a professional at what he did but also a friend, which I miss the most about the trip to the landfill... Casella is a $25 minimum, if you don't meet the minimum weight, you still pay the $25. Convenient, not very friendly but it is what it is.... it too is moving at some point so don't get used to it as a replacement for the old landfill... town of Brunswick is selling it's citizens out for a fee... if they don't want to have materials that can't be regularly disposed of outside of recycle bags and their fees, then don't make us be forced to purchase packaging that includes non-recyclable material.....
