Can a tenant sublease a room? (Aquire a roommate who pays part of the rent to the original tenent who is on the lease, and then the original tenent pays the entire rent?)

I don't believe so. You'll have to read the details on the lease. I'm thinking all persons living in the unit have to fill out a separate application and be included in the lease.
