I can't give you a terrifying experience, but it is definitely worth a visit the docents are extremely knowledgeable and do have some story's of encounters if you ask them to tell you about them. The history of the building and it's roles in San Diego politics is extremely interesting.
My one friend on the tour, whom is a Reiki Master, felt so overwhelmed by spirits in the dining room that she had to leave that part of the house. I witnessed with my naked eyes a large white mist dancing around in an upstairs bedroom, when we checked the photos on another friend's phone that she snapped at the same time, we could see the white mist in the photos. My friend captured the largest orb/white mist that I have ever seen creeping between my legs. My friend's phone acted strangely after taking that photo and all of her photos became completely out of sequence. My friend's camera somehow took photos of the inside of the house while pictures were being shot from outside of the house. How did it shoot photos through a Brick Wall? These encounters are creepy & mysterious, but not terrifying.
My friend felt vibes, she tends to be more susceptible to them. It was fun and I would have loved to just look around.
There was nothing terrifying but the history was very interesting. I would highly recommend talking to the docents and gathering information and asking questions, they are very helpful.
I went about 15 years ago. This girl walked up to me and showed me a picture she had taken and asked if the person looked familiar. It was a picture of me and what appeared to be a man kissing the top of my head!! Mind you, no one kissed my head. lol It was a ghost figure. I was shocked. It was a time before email was big so I wasn’t able to get a picture of it. But I’ll never forget it.
