The best part about living here was the maintenance crew. Bryan is super friendly, respectful, and is always quick to respond to any requests. He typically has a resolution within hours! I cannot say enough great things about Susana. She is one of the sweetest women I have ever met! She has the toughest job at Griffis - hands down. From starting her shift far before anyone else, to cleaning up after everyone’s pets, she is constantly on the go to make sure everyone is comfortable. On top of that, she quickly became a friend to many of us and regularly checks in to make sure we were all doing okay. She even became very close to my mother, who came by multiple times a week to walk my dog. I’m sad to leave this place knowing I won’t get to chat with Susana in the mornings. She’s a keeper!

Overall very great place to live and feel safe at in downtown San Diego. I was very nervous about living downtown, but Griffis East helps you feel safe knowing that the doors and gates are secured and can’t be accessed by anyone who does not reside here. They are MILITARY FRIENDLY and it helps my husband and I feel welcomed to an unknown place that we now get to call our home. The current Assistant Community Manager is very helpful and is always ready to assist. Walking downtown and grabbing a bite or enjoying the night life is a plus!

Loved our stay, clean apartment, clean hallway and good gym. Sometimes you can hear your neighbors, but it’s not to loud which doesn’t make it annoying

I had the pleasure of living at EV Lofts for over 2.5 years. I just recently moved out due to a job relocation, very reluctantly. I have lived in Downtown San Diego for the past 4 years, and in a total of 3 apartment complexes. EV Lofts was by far the best living environment, from the apartments themselves (very modern, clean) to the amenities (rooftop is killer), but the staff at EV made it a really great place to live. Makenna (Leasing Manager) and Brian (Maintenance Manager) truly make it a special place to live. They are always available, present and so friendly whenever there is a need or challenge, they definitely are an asset to Greystar. If you are looking to live downtown and East Village is an option for you, I highly recommend EV Lofts. You won't regret it!
