It's not absolutely necessary to get an alignment after replacing a set of tires. However, keep this in mind. If your wheels are out of alignment (can be partially determined by the wear pattern on the tires you're replacing), your tires will wear out much faster and need to be replaced much sooner than the ordinary lifespan they're rated for. In addition, your car or truck will handle much better on the road with your wheels properly aligned, especially in wet weather conditions. Ultimately the choice is yours, and if you have an opportunity to get your alignment checked for free, you can see with your own eyes whether your vehicle needs to have the wheels aligned or not.
